Immigrant Life
Im very passionate about people and the life they live, especialy immigrants, since my husband is one and many of our friends. I see the lifes they live and the life i live and people dont have a clue. I wish i could change his and there statuses and overall our government, they dont have a clue of how to fix things, maybe they should listen to the people. I live this life every day and as much as i want to change his status it isnt possible for me to at this moment, with our laws and government.
These are some little place cards i made for work. Once a month i host a Ladies Tea for all the residents, and this month i'm having a guest speaker come in and tell us the history on aprons. So i thought that i would just make some little decorational cards. They are a little time consuming, but easy to make, they arent perfect, but thats ok since alot of the residents are in there late 80's and most in there 90's with just a few in there 100's..i think i will be ok with a couple uneven lines..

First you want to boil some boneless skinsless chicken breast and then let cool.
After it has cooled enough for you to be able to shred it up, or just flake it. Then you want to pour some oil in a pot and while you are waiting for it to start to heat (heat on about a 7 or 8) warm up your tortillas in the microwave wrapped in a towl.Heat until you can fold them with out them breaking. Once they are done get your chicken and put it in the center of the tortilla and roll it up and pin it with a toothpick to hold it together. Them put it in the oil. You just want to make it slightly brown or so it is crunchy. when you pull it out let it set on a napkin, to absorb all the excess oil. Then i put all my fluatas in a square cake pan and crumble my queso fresco all over them, and then put them in the oven on broil, just until the cheese is melted and lightly brown. Take them out and chopped up some lettuce and slice up some onions, avacados, and tomatoes. Layer the lettuce first then put down the onions, avacados, and tomatoes and sprinkle some more queso fresco. I cut a small hole in the top of the crema and drizzle that over the top, and if you wish you can put mole sauce on the top for some added flavor. You can buy mole at any store, in the hispanic section. I make mine homemade. I will put that reciepe up later.
You can serve this with beans and rice and a small side of Pico De Gallo.
This makes for a wonderful meal for you friends and family.
My day was good, i hope everyone also had a good day. I had to work today, so that means i was up by 4am. I dont have to be to work until 8am but i get up get the coffee going and then i get ready and then make breakfast for my husband and get his lunch ready, then he is off to work. After all that i have to get my daughter up and ready for the babysitter and that can be a challange at times. She has been going threw a stage where she likes to see how far she can push me, and how much can she get away with. I'll just say she isnt going to win.
well after work i picked up my daughter and then had to do some grocery shopping, and on the way to the store my daughter started to hold her throat like she was going to throw up. I think she might be getting to the age where she is going to be getting car sick. Luckly she didnt throw up. I just hope this isnt the start to it.

Let it Snow 2012
This is my family, this is some snow we had this past winter (2012). I really had fun in the snow this year. I dont think i have had this much fun since i was 13 yrs old. I might of had more fun then my daughter did. She is still trying to figure out this whole snow thing, why its so cold and all, but she likes to watch it fall.
My Beautiful Daughter
This is a picture of my Daughter Isaura Zoila, she is really smart and very talkative more than ever lately. She is really growing up. I took her to the Dentist today and she was so good i was very proud of her. She didn't even cry, and most of all she had no cavities. :)
